Glass’s has comprehensive databases identifying all models and derivatives in the UK market. By linking the Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) to the Glass Code for each vehicle it is possible to precisely identify each model, each part number and specific repair information for each vehicle.
Our valuation data is based on up to 1.4 million trade observations and up to 8 million retail observations each year. All these observations are fed through statistical modelling with human data editors ensuring highly accurate trade and retail values.
Our transparent approach to generating our data, reporting on its accuracy and highlighting the insights we find, gives you confidence in the facts we provide. We keep track of industry shifts and residual value trends by manufacturer, vehicle segment, fuel type and more.
Using a four-dimensional process, Glass’s takes market data from wholesale and retail sources and processes it using statistical models created by our data scientists delivering a first data draft.
The final step in the production process is taken by our Editorial team. This team is made up of motor industry oracles with over 100 years of automotive industry experience. To improve accuracy beyond that of our competitors, this team takes the first data draft and using their industry knowledge coupled to economic data, they accurately edit the data ready for production.
