Valuations now based on retail transacted values

As of 1 December 2025, Glass Forecast valuations are based on retail transacted values – what vehicles actually sell for, rather than advertised asking prices.
This change ensures your data reflects real market activity and provides a clearer, more transparent view of true vehicle pricing.

New Retail Value Update

We introduced a unified retail transacted value across all UK valuation products.

What this means:

  • Valuations now show what vehicles are actually selling for, not just advertised at.
  • Values more closely track current market movements and real-time sales data.

You may notice that retail values appear lower in some cases. This does not indicate a drop in vehicle value – it simply reflects real-world transaction prices rather than listings.

Why this matters

True-to-market data – valuations grounded in actual sales, not listings.

More accurate analysis – supports fairer, data-based cost comparisons.

Smarter planning – provides a realistic foundation for TCO, forecasting, and budgeting.

Looking ahead

This enhancement is part of our ongoing effort to increase accuracy and consistency across all Autovista Group valuation products.
We’ll continue refining our methodology and data sources to deliver the clearest possible picture of real-world vehicle values.
