Setting up AutovistaSPEC UK

As AutovistaSPEC UK officially launches, we've created a step-by-step guide on how to access it.



What’s happening?

AutovistaSPEC UK will officially go live on 30 October 2025 giving you access to daily-updated UK automotive specification data. Here are some step-by-step instructions to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted access.

What this means for you

Daily updated specification data: From 30 October, AutovistaSPEC UK will be updated every day, giving you the latest data as standard.

IDD/CDD Final Release: We will send the final IDD/CDD monthly production in November 2025.

Transition Flexibility: Choose your switch-over date anytime during November 2025.

Legacy tools phased out: IDD/CDD will be decommissioned, and AutovistaSPEC will remain the sole specification data tool from 1 December 2025.


Accessing the AutovistaSPEC Portal and SFTP

If you require access to AutovistaSPEC UK and have not yet received your credentials, please contact us at customer@autovistagroup.com

Step 1: Log in to the AutovistaSPEC Portal
1. Open the login link included in the email from Autovista Data (noreply@glass.co.uk) or go directly to: https://www.autovistaspec.autovistacloud.net/auth/login

2. Enter the credentials provided in your email.

3. On your first login, update the temporary password to a permanent one.

Please note: Temporary passwords expire after 7 days.

4. Once logged in, you can view all subscribed data packages.

Step 2: Access Your Data via SFTP
To download your AutovistaSPEC UK data packages (Core or Full):

1. Open your preferred SFTP client.

2. Connect using your portal username and password.

Host: files.autovistaspec.autovistacloud.net

3. Navigate to the relevant folders, e.g. autovistaspec_uk_**

4. Download your subscribed packages and accompanying technical documentation.

Yes — November’s final delivery gives you full flexibility to switch at any point during the month.
