What’s new on AutovistaSPEC?
The August update is available now. See below for the changes and how to access them
What’s happening?

We are pleased to confirm that the August release of AutovistaSPEC UK is now available for testing via our SFTP server. This update continues the ongoing refinement of the UK dataset to ensure full alignment with the AutovistaSPEC standard ahead of the October 2025 go-live.
Here’s what’s new:
Model codes in the search tree will continue to change until October 2025

As we continue to refine the search-tree vehicle concept, the model-level codes used to identify vehicles will evolve with each release. These codes will stabilise in October 2025, when AutovistaSPEC UK goes fully live.
This specifically affects the three model-level identification tables and fields:
- o Data table modlevone.txt through the field “MLOCode”.
- o Data table modlevtwo.txt through the field “MLTCode”.
- o Data table model.txt through the field “MODNatCode”.
As illustrated in the screenshot below, these model identification fields (MLOCode, MLTCode, MODNatCode) will continue to be updated dynamically until they become static in October 2025.

The evolution of these fields is comprehensively documented in the Comparison document (Comparison_IDD_16.2 to AutovistaSPEC_UK_Core_&_Full) located at:
“/autovistaspec_allcountries_documentation/United Kingdom – Core & Full/”

Please note that, once AutovistaSPEC is fully live in October 2025 and the model codes are static, we will provide a final mapping in the documentation linking legacy IDD-16.2 model codes to the new AutovistaSPEC model codes.
While the product-level impact is limited, if you currently store or use model codes to track specific models in your systems, please plan to review the mapping at go-live and re-map any stored references from IDD-16.2 to the new codes to maintain continuity in integrations and historical tracking.
Ongoing Transition to September 2025

To support a seamless migration, AutovistaSPEC UK will continue to be updated at regular intervals until September 2025.
- Consistent Structure: While we continue refining and expanding the content, the structural format of AutovistaSPEC (e.g., tables and fields) remains unchanged.
- Daily Deliveries: AutovistaSPEC UK will continue to be delivered daily, with periodic updates introducing the latest enhancements.
- Advance Notifications: We will keep you informed of updates and new releases in advance through our regular communications.
