Improvements to our valuations in AutovistaREFORECAST
Great news! We’re enhancing the way vehicle values are calculated in AutovistaREFORECAST

We’re evolving our proven valuation methodology, bringing market-aligned insights that further support strategic planning. These changes are designed to optimise your products and ensure they continue to deliver the precision and reliability you expect.

From 1 December 2025, valuations will be based on retail transacted values – what vehicles are actually selling for in the market, rather than advertised asking prices.
This update ensures your data reflects real market activity, offering a clearer and more transparent view of true vehicle pricing.
New Retail Value Update
We’re introducing a unified retail transacted value across all UK valuation products, replacing previous retail asking values.
What this means:
- Valuations now show what vehicles are actually selling for, not just advertised at.
- Values will more closely track current market movements and real-time sales data.
- No action is required – updates will apply automatically across your products.
This improvement forms part of the wider valuation methodology updates, completing with the transition to the new system from 1 December 2025 (supported by the scheduled maintenance weekend 28–30 November, to be confirmed).
What’s changing
Previously, AutovistaREFORECAST displayed retail asking values, based on advertised prices from online platforms and dealer listings.
From 1 December 2025, it will now show retail transacted values, calculated from verified retail transactions.
You may notice that displayed values appear lower in some cases.
This doesn’t indicate a drop in value – it reflects a more realistic, data-driven valuation approach that aligns to true market activity.
Why this matters
True-to-market data – valuations grounded in actual sales, not listings.
More accurate analysis – supports fairer, data-based cost comparisons.
Smarter planning – provides a realistic foundation for TCO, forecasting, and budgeting.
Looking ahead
This update forms part of our ongoing effort to enhance valuation accuracy and consistency across all Autovista Group products.
We’ll continue refining our methodology and data sources to deliver the clearest picture of real-world vehicle values.
