1. INFORMATION COLLECTED AND USE OF INFORMATION
You may browse Glass’s web site on an anonymous basis as no personal information (names, addresses, e-mail addresses, etc.) is collected unless you register on the web site. Glass’s does however collect some basic technical information (including the IP address) and some of your non-identifiable information such as click sequences and vehicle pricing requests. Such data is used to produce vehicle pricing reports, analysis of your usage of the web site, new product offerings, and customised online advertising and promotional offers (see also “Advertisements” below). Glass’s does aggregate non-personal information relating to the use of this web site for statistical purposes but none of this information is made available to other users of the web site.
2. REGISTRATION AND USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
When you register on the site using the registration and personalisation area, your personal data is collected and stored. The data is used for automatically pre-populating all possible forms on Glass’s web site with your data in order to make your visit a better experience. Unless you have given your consent, the data will not be disclosed to any third party except as provided at paragraph 3 below or to the extent either allowed or required by law or where Glass’s has identified abusive or non-compliant use of the web site. If you give Glass’s and/or a third party your approval to use your personal data, this data will be handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. The data will become the property of Glass’s and/or third parties.
If you choose to purchase any of the services offered on Glass’s web site you will be offered various options for payment which will involve Glass’s passing your personal information to a third party in order to generate the payment from you to Glass’s. However, notwithstanding the above, Glass’s will not be able to maintain control over any personal data which is produced to such third parties and will not therefore be liable for any misuse of that data by such third party.
Brochure, test drive and quote requests are handled through Glass’s web site. The personal information supplied for a brochure, test drive or quote request will be handed over to the respective manufacturer or distributor of the vehicle the request was made for, which may lead to a transfer of the information to a country outside of the European Economic Area for the purposes of processing by Glass’s and its business partners. By submitting your order, you consent to this transfer. Any such business partners are selected by Glass’s on a number of selection criteria and are bound by a contract to ensure the proper handling of any personal data which is received. However, once Glass’s hands over your personal data, the responsibility for this data no longer lies with Glass’s but with the relevant business partner.
3. INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THIRD PARTIES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
If you request any valuation or other service, we may pass your basic contact details to relevant dealers and their agents to enable them to contact you with suitable offers. If you do not want us to do this, please do not request the valuation or other service.
Glass’s may also send you other information about its products and services or pass your information to selected third parties for their marketing purposes unless and to the extent that you have indicated otherwise to Glass’s either during your order process or by contacting us using the details below.
